Sunday, September 20 sees the continuation of John Oakes’ new sermon series on 1 Peter, “Good News for Challenging Times” at both our 8:00 a.m traditional Communion and 10:30 a.m Baptism services. To download a schedule of the sermon series, please click here. All welcome and invited!
On Sunday, September 6, our second service returns to its regular time of 10:30 a.m. The 8:00 a.m. will continue to meet in the Chapel through September. There will be traditional Communion at both this Sunday, with John Oakes speaking on “God’s Talent Show.”
Wednesday, September 2, sees the return of mid-week programming, including Communion at 10:00 a.m. (monthly on the first Wednesday) and 7:00 p.m. (weekly), and our open Bible Study (weekly), all meeting in the Chapel. All are welcome. And don’t forget the parish lunch after the 10:00 a.m. Communion, which also resumes at noon in Wrixon Hall!
John Oakes reports on changes at St. Mary’s, including the departure of our Associate Priest, Rev. Jo-Anne Billinger, to become Interim Priest-in-Charge of All Saints, King City, and a change in the time of our second Sunday service to 9:30 a.m for July and August. Get your copy here!
Throughout Lent and Holy Week, we’ll be offering a quiet Communion service in the Chapel every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., followed by coffee and an open Bible Study on the theme of “Spiritual Disciplines.” All are welcome and encouraged to join us for this special seasonal journey!
Jo-Anne Billinger will be speaking on the “two crosses” in our Christian lives at both our 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. traditional Communion services this coming Sunday. Our lively Sunday School will be available for children and we welcome all-comers to join us for worship and coffee afterwards!
Please join us on Sunday, February 22, for a 10:00 a.m. combined Healing Communion service, followed by lunch and our Annual Vestry Meeting at noon. There will be no 8:00 a.m. Communion on Vestry Sunday. John Oakes will be speaking on the theme of standing firm and resting secure in the gospel.
